The Feel-Good Power of Haircare, Music & Mental Health
This May, we’re turning up the volume on self-care and mental health — literally. At Kiri10, we believe looking after yourself goes beyond good hair days. It’s about joy, creativity, and doing the little things that make you feel like you.
So, what better way to celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month than through the magic of music, movement, and self-expression?
Introducing: The Sing It Out Campaign
We’re teaming up with emerging artists and creatives to bring you something a little different. Each artist will create a short (30-second) song, cover, or Reel inspired by our products — the smell, the feeling, or the ritual.
It’s all about how self-care feels in your body and your mind.
Expect lighthearted lyrics, soothing sounds, and loads of personality. Whether it’s a cheeky shampoo-inspired bop or a dreamy tune about a Sunday night hair ritual, these creators are letting the good vibes flow.
And best of all? Each post will shine a spotlight on how singing, dancing, and creativity support mental well-being.
Why Singing & Dancing Are Good for Your Brain
💛 Singing reduces stress and boosts mood
According to Harvard Health, group singing has been shown to lower cortisol levels and increase endorphins — your body’s natural feel-good chemicals.
🧠Movement and music support mental resilience
A study published in Frontiers in Psychology found that regular dancing can improve mood, body image, and even reduce symptoms of depression.
🎧 Music helps regulate emotions
Whether you’re vibing to a playlist while washing your hair or belting it out in the shower, music helps us process feelings and release tension — a key part of mental wellness.
How You Can Help Us Give Back
This May, we’re inviting you to help us give back. Throughout the month, tag or comment on our posts with a mental health charity you’d love us to support. At the end of May, we’ll donate to one of the nominated organisations — chosen by our community.
To be eligible, the charity must be actively supporting, educating, or providing resources for mental health.
